Stephen is a painter based in South London. He has exhibited at London’s Mall Galleries, Denbies Wine Estate, the Mine Gallery in Carshalton, and Sutton and Wimbledon Libraries. He is an active member of Pirbright Art Club in Surrey.
The Paintings
“My influences come from many sources, not all of them eminent painters. Snippets of photography, film, illustration and music have all played a part in inspiring me. Pressed to name a single artist I’d like to emulate it’d probably be a toss-up between Edward Hopper and Michael Johnson, the 1960’s Woman’s Own illustrator.”
